Crystal Mosque, Kuala Terengganu
Considered as one of the most magnificent mosques in the world, this Crystal Mosque (Masjid Kristal) was built in 2006 and completed in 2008, using steel, glass and crystal.
Officially opened on the significant date of 8th February, 2008, by the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong (Paramount Ruler), Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu, Crystal Mosque is also a floating mosque. It is located in Taman Tamadun Islam (Islamic Heritage Park), on Pulau Wan Man (Wan Man Island).
This grand mosque, with four tall minarets, can accommodate up to 1,500 worshippers at a time.
