It is the dream of every avid traveller to visit all the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and there is no denying that this is a feat that I would love to personally achieve as well.
Perhaps you are not aware, the Seven Wonders of the Modern World are:
– Chichén Itza, Mexico
– Christ the Redeemer Statue, Brazil
– Colosseum, Italy
– Taj Mahal, India
– Great Wall of China
– Petra, Jordan
– Machu Picchu, Peru
Of course, there are also the classic Seven Wonders of the World:
– Colossus of Rhodes
– Great Pyramid of Giza
– Hanging Gardens of Babylon
– Lighthouse of Alexandria
– Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
– Statue of Zeus at Olympia
– Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
And, the Seven Natural Wonders of the World:
– Grand Canyon
– The Great Barrier Reef
– The Harbour of Rio de Janeiro
– Mt. Everest
– Northern Lights
– Paricutin Volcano
– Victoria Falls
The problem that most Malaysian wage earners face, including yours truly, is that our Ringgit can only take us so far. Therefore, while there are so many places that I want to visit, I am concentrating on the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, simply because it appears to be more attainable than the other two lists.
At this point, out of the seven landmarks, I have already checked off three. Which are they, do you know? The answer is in the photos enclosed!
What about you? Which destinations are you working towards, as a traveller?
