Back Home With Honor (Ipoh) Reunion Dinner
It was yet another successful gathering of Honor device users in Ipoh, kicking off the start of the “Back Home With Honor” series of reunion dinners that also visited Penang and Johor Bahru soon after.
The Honor crew will drop by Malacca next and wraps up the programme in Kuala Lumpur at a date to be announced.
The 30-odd guests, mainly Honor device users from Ipoh, but some came from as far as Terengganu and Sabah, were dressed in specially printed Honor #ForTheBrave t-shirts, creating a sea of blue at the sTREATs Restaurant at ibis Styles Hotel.
It was sort of like a homecoming gathering organised by Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei Technologies, in conjunction with Chinese New Year.
Honor is a pro-active brand and as far as I know, it is the only technology company that goes to the ground to receive direct feedback and suggestions from users, and actually improve on their products and services based on these input.
According to Gary Boon, E-commerce Manager (Southern Pacific Device E-commerce Business Dept.), the user base in Ipoh has increased tremendously since the first gathering on Aug 31, 2014, which I also attended.
At this third gathering in Ipoh, guests were treated to a scrumptious buffet dinner, which began with the tossing of “yee sang”, with hopes for a brighter and more fruitful year ahead for all.
As always, with compliments from Honor, there were plenty of prizes to give away, although I did not win anything, perhaps because I am not an Honor user (yet).
Nevertheless, I would say that everyone was a winner that night, as we were all presented with an “ang pow” with a special Vmall.my coupon code. And of course, each of us were given the blue Honor t-shirt, for the brave only.
And the bonus was that we managed some hands-on time with the Honor tablet, Honor 4X and Honor 6 Plus.
