Asian-Western Fusion Christmas Set Dinner to Celebrate Xmas @ New Yorker Café, Manhattan Hotel Ipoh

Christmas is coming soon, can you feel it in the air? This is the season of love, goodwill and togetherness, so let’s make time to spend the season with our nearest and dearest.

Friends in Ipoh who are stumped for ideas to celebrate this special occasion, here is a gem of a café that you should consider.  On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Yorker Café at Manhattan Hotel Ipoh is offering a special Christmas Set Dinner that’s a fusion of Asian and Western Cuisine.

Begin your meal with a warm bowl of Roasted Pumpkin Soup with Crouton, followed by a main course: choice of Roasted Honey Chicken Breast, Pan-Seared Mustard Lamb Loin, or Pan-Seared Salmon Fillet with Lemon Turmeric Cream Sauce.

Let me tell you, choosing one main course out of three is not going to be easy. Roasted Honey Chicken Breast is served with Pilaf Rice and Garlic Herb Lemon Butter Sauce. Pan-Seared Mustard Lamb Loin has Pilaf Rice, Sautéed Vegetables, and of course, a slab of Lamb Loin, accompanied by Rosemary Sauce. 

Meanwhile, Pan-Seared Salmon Fillet with Lemon Turmeric Cream Sauce comes with a large slice of Salmon Fillet, a bowl of Pilaf Rice, garnished with Sautéed Vegetables and Tomato Salsa.

You can see from these photos that no matter which main course you opt for, you won’t go wrong. Look at the generous portion, too! Even if you are replete, you will have space for some sweet dessert, right? Comes with this Christmas Set Dinner is dessert of Triple Chocolate Cheese Cake, a very pretty platter that is complemented with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, decorated with fruit compote. 

Last but not least, as part of the Christmas Set Dinner is a tall glass of cool Sparkling Juice to wash down the meal with. Price for Christmas Set Dinner is RM59.90 per pax and is available on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, from 6pm until 9pm.

New Yorker Café has also prepared a New Year set dinner menu at the same price, available on 31st Dec, 2019 and 1st Jan, 2020.

Similar to the Christmas menu, this four-course set begins with Soup (Fresh Mushroom Soup with Focaccia Garlic Bread), followed by choice of three main courses: Roasted Whole Chicken Leg with Peri-Peri Sauce, Pan-Seared Mustard Lamb Loin, or Pan-Seared Salmon Fillet with Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce.

For dessert, it will be Mix Berries Cake with Strawberry Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream, to be washed down by a glass of Sparkling Juice.
