Xīn nián kuài lè 新年快乐 (Happy New Year)! My, it’s hard to imagine that we are less than 50 days to Chinese New Year! The Year of the Rat is definitely arriving sooner than expected, as CNY 2020 falls in January.

Do you know that most Chinese households have started to prepare for Spring Festival? Many people have already planned their exciting trips home because the reunion dinner with their loved ones on Chinese New Year Eve is the most befitting occasion on the annual calendar. The eve of CNY falls on 24th January. Are you ready for it?

Syeun Hotel Ipoh revealed their Chinese New Year menu, finely curated by Masterchef Ho Woon Shing, which I am sharing with you today. There are two menus for Chinese New Year reunion dinner, available on 24th Jan, 2020 at 6.30pm. The exquisite nine-course menus for a table of ten are priced at RM998 and RM1388, respectively. This meal will be hosted at Syeun Grand Ballroom (Level 2), where a string of live entertainment is lined up throughout the evening. The God of Fortune will make an appearance and distribute red packets to all diners for blessings.

For families who prefer buffet-style dining during Chinese New Year, Syeun Hotel Ipoh is offering CNY Buffet Lunch Special Promotion from 25th until 31st January, at the hotel’s Garden View Coffee House. There are seven different menus to be served on daily rotational basis, so guests can actually celebrate Spring Festival every afternoon at Syeun Hotel for one whole week without dining on the same menu. Price is RM35 nett (adult) and RM30 nett (child / senior).

It is the tradition of Syeun Hotel Ipoh to present a dragon & lion dance performance on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year, and Year 2020 has a similarly joyous occasion. The hotel management welcomes all guests and the local community to join in the CNY merriment of ushering the Lunar New Year on 27th January at 12 noon.
