Lost World of Tambun Ultimate Night Park Attractions
I have been to the Lost World of Tambun numerous times but never been to the night petting zoo yet, until recently. All these while, I was too busy enjoying the hot springs when I was there.
Some months ago, when I made plans to just go to the petting zoo and leave my swimwear at home, something or other kept cropping up and I had to postpone my trip.
However, I finally made it last week! I spent about an hour in the petting zoo from 9pm until 10pm, when the zoo is closed for the day.
It was almost pitch black in some parts of the zoo, while parts of the trail were lighted. Soft music was also being played in the background.
Calling this mighty ‘jungle’ home are raccoons, crocodiles, bearcats, pythons, tapirs, rabbits, hamsters, different bird species and many more.
Also a part of the night park attraction within the petting zoo is the Tarantula Alley. Here is where you can get educated on the hairy arachnids.
As usual, under such lighting without the use of flash, my camera struggled to capture these nocturnal animals. Here are only what I have and they are not very good, either.
Nonetheless, I hope your interest will be piqued enough to get there and personally experience those Lost World of Tambun’s night park attractions. You would be surprised how things look differently in the cover of night.

Never been here before, but for the night zoo, been to the Taiping one. Any special attraction here?
Very interesting. I have been to Zoos and safari many times, but all the trips were during the day. I’d love to try out a petting zoo at night time. Maybe I’ll be able to see animals that I don’t usually seen during the day trips.
Frankly, as an Ipohian, but until now haven’t visit Lost World of Tambun yet. ><
I want to visit the place one day, until now can’t find a good date. Night time visit also sounds good.
The petting zoo seems like such fun to experience. The Fennec foxes are exceptionally cute too.
