New Zealand finally managed a win in their third game here at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2013, when they played against Korea at Stadium Azlan Shah hockey stadium.
Korea seemed as though they couldn’t find their footing, missing many chances. Despite three penalty corners in the second half, they didn’t convert any.
As Korea conceded two goals too early in the game, it was a difficult position for them to be in. New Zealand, meanwhile, was comfortable with a two-goal buffer but that didn’t mean they could afford to relax.
In fact, New Zealand stepped up the pressure, which cracked Korea’s defence. So they let another ball from New Zealand into the net.
New Zealand and Korea now have 3 points each with two more matches to play.
Final score was Korea 0, New Zealand 3. View (and buy) high quality photos of this match at Sports Media Group Australia.
