This is the final call to visit the 20th Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) at KLCC Convention Centre, as this 3-day mega event wraps up today at 5.30pm.
If you are in the F&B business, or looking to venture in the industry, MIFB 2019 is well worth a visit. In fact, it is a MUST VISIT! Why? There are lots of new food and beverage products to sample, including those from Korea, Maldives and Thailand. India has the largest pavilion, while China has sent an equally strong delegation. Meanwhile, Malaysia is well represented with many popular Malaysian food brands of export quality.
Making their debut at MIFB are the United Kingdom, Bhutan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates.
This prime F&B trade fair marks a milestone this year, having achieved two decades of innovation and constant growth with groundbreaking solutions to boost the industry alongside global partners. As such, this 20th edition of MIFB has made it into the Malaysia Book of Records, as ‘Malaysia’s Largest Food & Beverage Trade Event’.
The launch of MIFB 2019 on 26th June also saw the introduction of the organiser’s new Start-Up Programme, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, jointly organised by Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce (KLMCC), Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI), and Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KLSICCI).
This initiative serves as a business matching platform between start-ups and investors, from Malaysia, India and Hong Kong, who are keen to invest in the latest innovative F&B service solutions.
The four main segments of MIFB 2019 are Food and Beverage (Local & General Food), Food Technology, Halal Category, as well as Seafood & Fisheries.
Additionally, hosted alongside MIFB 2019 are 10th International F&B Machinery, Packaging & Service Solution Exhibitors (FoodTech 2019) and 5th Asian Seafood & Fishery, Raw & Processed Produce, Technology & Supply Chain Solution Trade Fair (S&F Asia 2019).
This collaboration allows exhibitors to network and increase brand exposure globally with participants from around the world.
For general information, MIFB 2018 garnered 19,980 trade visitors from 66 nations, comprising 250 international and local buyers, while its Business Matching Platform generated 2,651 business connections with an estimated trade value of US$300 million.
As you can see, MIFB is an annual trade fair that offers industry players a platform to experience the future with unique and insights into processes and technologies, industrial trends, consumers need, cost reduction, food safety, traceability and sustainability.
