Visit Perak Year 2012

A few thousand people converged at the car park area of Stadium Indera Mulia on New Year’s Eve to usher in 2012. The crowd was kept entertained from 10pm onwards with music, song and dance. Emcee Dato’ AC Mizal provided light humour throughout the night while Ramli Sarip rocked the house down with a few of his most popular tracks, including Kamelia.

Soon after the stroke of midnight, amidst an amazing display of fireworks, Visit Perak Year 2012 was officially launched. Foreign guests, waving the flag of Perak, were invited on stage to share the exciting moment. Perak targets 5 million visitors in 2012. During the same event, a contingent of tourist police was launched, the first in Perak.

To wrap up the eventful morning, a lucky draw was held where four motorcycles were given away to lucky winners. Congratulations!
