The recent 2nd Dizigui Cultural Exhibition was held concurrently with the 5th ‘Childs Creation’ Art Exhibition at Syuen Hotel (4th Floor), Ipoh. ‘Dizigui’ is the standards of being a good child and student. It generally translates to ‘filial piety’, as taught and influenced by Confucius, the great Chinese educator.
Moral principles and virtues have to be imparted to children at a young age. Children are taught to be dutiful to their parents and respectful of their teachers. Some of the teachings include how to behave at home and in society, how to carry oneself (manners and mannerisms) and how to love. It is indeed easy to pick up social ills than learn how to be a good person.
To help lead us on the right path again, Culture Creation Art Con has taken on the task by conducting night classes at their premises along Jalan Raja Musa Aziz and also by visiting schools in and around Ipoh. Parents who send their children to such classes are surprised at the children’s transformation after a few lessons.
