With the majestic exterior of Tow Boo Kong in Jalan Raja Uda, you can expect nothing less inside. The altars are very elaborate with separate prayer halls for different deities but because I am a banana, I have trouble identifying the deities.

When we talk about palaces (宫), we imagine everything to be golden. At least I do. You can see from these photos that almost everything inside is golden. And the craftsmen have done their job exceedingly well!

There is an inner courtyard within the temple grounds, where a huge stone carving stands. Look carefully at this carving. It has a total of nine dragons. The main one in the middle spews water from its mouth.

Opposite the fountain is a huge painting that features a hundred children (no, I didn’t count) and I was made to understand that it signifies continuity generation after generation.
