Promoting Malaysia to the World
Rimba Raid aims to promote the beauty of Malaysia to local and international tourists. The Archaeological Heritage of the Lenggong Valley has been chosen as the venue due to its varied terrain features and stunning natural surroundings.

The race will indeed raise Lenggong’s profile as our government bids for the UNESCO Global Geoparks status to become the third site for Malaysia, after Langkawi and Kinabalu.

To minimise any permanent damage to the environment, the organisers have obtained the necessary permits from the Perak State Forestry Department, and follow strict guidelines to ensure nature conservation and sustainability.

Rimba Raid was founded in 2015 by Dato’ Capt. Nik Huzlan Nik Hussein.
The guest of honour for the media launch was Member of Parliament for Lenggong, YB Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, who also serves as Malaysia’s Deputy Home Minister.

The event was further honoured by the presence of Tuan Mohd Amzari Bin Mohd Arzami, Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Lenggong, alongside Cik Nurmalis, CEO of Tourism Perak.
YB Loh Sze Yee, the Exco for Tourism Perak, was unable to attend and was represented by his Special Officer, Pn. Poon Sook Yee.
