The Shore Sky Tower, Melaka

If you are not afraid of heights, you should visit The Shore Sky Tower if you ever find yourself in Melaka. Opened in July 2015, this is the city’s tallest building, boasting an observatory deck on the 43rd floor where you can experience a somewhat breathtaking panoramic view of the city.

Having checked out the Skybox at KL Tower which stands 421 metres above sea level, I wasn’t as excited about this elevation of 163 metres above street level. Still, I enjoyed myself playing the game of identifying buildings in the historic city via an aerial view.

Only a maximum of five people are allowed in the Skybox and no private photography is allowed. There is an automated camera that is operated by authorised staff.
Visitors may purchase their photographs later at the front counter for a price as stated below:
RM45 per photo, without soft copy
RM75 for two photos, with soft copy
RM100 for three photos, with soft copy

This roof top garden is also equipped with six units of telescopes that allow visitors to see clearer the different sides of the city. Besides, this is an amazing venue to host a memorable private event, for up to 200 pax.

By the way, entrance ticket is RM25 (adult) and RM18 (child from 3 to 12 years old). All prices inclusive of 6% GST.

Business hours are from 10.30am to 9.45pm (Sundays – Thursdays) with last admission at 9.30pm or to 10.45pm (Fridays / Saturdays & eve of Public Holidays) with last admission at 10.30pm.

Do note that in the case of sudden rain, there shall be no refund on ticket(s). The management reserves the right to postpone, cancel, interrupt or stop your visit to the observatory deck in the event of adverse weather condition, dangerous situation or any other cause beyond reasonable control.

I won’t go… Scared of heights lolx but I would love to take photos… But I’m still afraid of heights haha
Didn’t know of this place when I went to Melaka for a trip previously! Will take note of this place during my next visit!
Am not afraid of heights, but if you will let me stand on that glass platform and I look down… i think I might peed a little, lol
This is cool!
Wow love this new spot in Melaka. I am definitely visiting when I head up to Melaka. Though it isn’t as high as the tower in KL it is very high for the area of Melaka cos the buildings there are generally lower. Great view from up there
Wahh. This is soo cool. I’ve been to Malacca so many times and haven’t got the chance to try this.
Something interesting for me to explore. Will bring my children there.
Even Malacca have this sky tower! I never been to sky tower before since I am afraid of height >.<
