The Rabbit Wishes You Happy Chinese New Year! 新年快樂!
Boy, I still remember writing last year’s CNY greetings on this blog a year ago. Where did the past 12 months go? It’s kind of scary how each day slips by rolling into another and yet another and soon, Chinese New Year will be upon us. By the way, 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit, an animal in Chinese mythology that is said to derive his essence from the Moon and is an emblem of longevity.
I have this habit of reading my Chinese horoscope prior to CNY but before the first month is over, I would have forgotten 99% of what I have read. It’s funny that I still do it even though I know that I shouldn’t believe anything that I have read because life is what we make of it and what God bestows upon us, right?
This post, I am enclosing photos shot at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. It’s one of the top shopping malls in KL well-known for its seasonal decorations. I have been told that at night, hundreds of people would sit at the wide staircase to enjoy the sight. This reminds me of people doing the same watching the light and water show at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore.
The theme at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur this Chinese New Year is “Petals of Spring” and this is how artists translated the theme into mall decorations. Like it?
