As June rolls around, it is time for The Haven to host a Thanksgiving dinner, which occurred on 10th June this year. It was to give appreciation to the Creator (according to each individual’s faith) for the blessings that He has bestowed upon us for the past year.
This Thanksgiving party was also a birthday celebration of Mr. Peter Chan, Chief Executive Officer of The Haven. Needless to say, it was an opportunity for all staff to let their hair down, and Mr. Peter Chan himself was no exception, judging from the energetic belly dance he performed for his guests!
As in previous years, The Haven’s Thanksgiving dinner is always a cosy affair, with only old friends and close associates invited. This year was more meaningful for Mr. Peter as his Raffles Hall brothers from their days at the National University Of Singapore (NUS) 45 years ago were present to help him celebrate his birthday.
In case you are not aware yet, Mr. Peter Chan is forever 38. It is a good age to pause time at, eh? Of course, what’s a birthday celebration without a birthday cake, right? But before Mr. Peter was allowed to cut his cake, Mrs. Suzanne Thong led us to sing the Happy Birthday song in a number of languages; English, Cantonese, Mandarin and even French!
Despite having a jolly good evening, it was no better chance to share important messages to the staff of The Haven, as well as to update guests on the progress of The Haven’s Indonesian project called “The Haven Bintan”, dubbed as “Asia’s Pride, south of the South China Sea”.
The Haven Bintan, when completed, will be the only skyrise resort in Lagoi Bay, Bintan, boasting an unmatched combination of views, breeze and security.
I can’t wait for the project to complete. Start saving money! If you plan to invest in The Haven Bintan, do take note that show units will be ready for preview this August! That’s not too long from now…..
