“If I Sing” Charity Concert
The charity concert, If I Sing, was so well received, 250 people attended it, including almost fifty corporate guests of The Haven Resort Hotel & Residences. The Haven was the main sponsor of the event.
Headlined by Ipoh-born soprano Lee Yi Jing, she was accompanied by pianist Liew Chen Shen. Also sharing the stage were Jream Cheah (baritone), Wong Vi Vien (pianist) and Kenny Lee (saxophonist).
Besides opera classics, Yi Jing also rendered contemporary pop songs as well as local compositions. Her vocal prowess kept the audience entertained throughout the show.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of The Haven Mr. Peter Chan took the opportunity to speak about The Haven to guests, as well as briefed them on the progress of The Haven Bintan in Indonesia.
This charity concert was organised by Friends of Perak Women For Women (PWW), where all proceeds from the concert are donated to PWW, a non-profit organisation that aims to enhance the status and lives of women in Perak, regardless of race, religion or social background. The main challenge faced by PWW is maintaining temporary board and lodging for women and children in crisis.
As such, the organisers are appealing for support to help the women not only to get out of abusive relationships but also develop a sense of self-worth that is essential in achieving success.

I love the dresses so much. And the message is really good. Women can stand up against violence, it should not be tolerated at all anymore.
The dress is to die for! Such a noble cause 🙂
