The Ipoh City Council (MBI) jointly organised a meaningful event with Mr Roasted Greentown on 31st July 2024, in conjunction with the restaurant’s official opening.

Dato’ Rumaizi Bin Baharin@Md Daud, who took the chance to mingle with other guests, the celebration also saw 40 underprivileged children alongside their guardians from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cahaya Kasih Kinta Perak and Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh.

In his opening speech, Dato’ Rumaizi expressed his appreciation to Mr Roasted Sdn. Bhd. for supporting the Ipoh City Council in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives under the MBI Prihatin (MBI Cares) programme.

He said, “I hope more private companies like Mr Roasted Sdn. Bhd. will come forward with similar events that benefit the needy communities of Ipoh.”

“Also, with the official opening of Mr Roasted Greentown, Ipoh City now offers more food options to visitors, which in turn boosts our food tourism sector,” he added.

Mr Roasted Greentown received further good news when they were certified Grade A in cleanliness for their premises.

Mr Roasted, with restaurants in Greentown and Tambun, is a Chinese Muslim restaurant chain that specialises in Halal Chinese cuisine with pocket-friendly prices.

Signature dishes include roasted duck, roasted chicken, BBQ chicken, Hainanese chicken rice, and various claypot dishes. Strictly adhering to Islamic dietary regulations, only the freshest and highest quality ingredients are used.
