Sunway Lost World of Tambun Unleashes Thrills in Conjunction with Halloween
Sunway Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) returns with its much-anticipated Halloween event, Screamfest 3: School of Horror. Running from 4th to 31st October 2024, every Friday to Sunday from 7:15 PM until 11 PM, the theme park transforms into a chilling world inspired by Malaysia’s eerie school tales.
Screamfest 3: School of Horror features eight haunted attractions that immerse visitors in local school legends. Each area – from classrooms and science labs to dormitories and eerie toilets – is carefully designed to terrify. Blackboards write on their own, lockers slam shut, and local ghosts like the Pontianak and Toyol bring these Malaysian folklore-inspired stories to life.
At the heart of the horror is Block Histeria, a haunted school block filled with familiar yet twisted spaces like classrooms, libraries, and creepy canteens. Guests feel the tension as they navigate through this once-familiar, now-nightmarish environment.
Adding to the terror, Kepura Cave becomes Gua Demerit, where visitors must pass a series of eerie “exams” set by ghostly teachers to escape. Failure could trap them in detention forever! Denai Misteri offers another thrill, inviting guests to search for a missing girl while encountering ghosts that haunt the trail.
Pushing the Boundaries of Fear
Sunway Lost World of Tambun raises the stakes this year with its most immersive Halloween experience yet, blending local horror stories with terrifying thrills. “We ensure every detail reflects Malaysia’s haunted school legends,” says En. Nurul Nuzairi, Senior General Manager of Sunway Theme Parks. “It’s a mix of horror and cultural significance, especially for those familiar with these tales.”
