SMI Centennial FunFair

Today, I am bringing you some photos that I took of the recent SMI Centennial FunFair. I couldn’t spend the entire morning at the school, so my shots are entirely random. This fun fair was part of the school’s yearlong Centennial programmes and was held simultaneously as the Talentime show. At the same time, three new ‘lions’ were presented to the Michaelian Wushu Club, after the “eye-dotting” ceremony.
It was a hive of activity at the school that Sunday morning when I visited. It wasn’t only open to students and staff but also to the public, who came to show support and to help out with the school’s fundraising effort. All in all, there were more than fifty food stalls erected; the students even took over the school canteen. It’s surely an experience to be a food vendor, if only for half a day! Besides food and music, there were plenty of games. The Haunted House, Game Maze and Laser Battle looked like some of the more popular games. The queues were just so long!
Some SMI KL Alumi members came to visit their Alma Mater that morning – they presented RM15,000 to 75 needy students. Each received RM200. In addition to this, the KL Alumni also donated season drums to the Wushu Club. How generous!
