Iftar with the Underprivileged
Following their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative during this holy month of Ramadhan where 1000 packs of free bubur lambuk were distributed to the public, Impiana Hotel Ipoh organised a modest iftar dinner for orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kasih Nurul Iman and senior citizens from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Orang-Orang Tua (ISLAM).
These 45 special guests were joined in by hotel staff, employees from their sister company Anjung Hijau Sdn. Bhd., corporate partners, associates and members of the media.
Guests were entertained by a lively ghazal performance, before the breaking of fast at 7.33pm. The “time” was announced via “live” azan, certainly something different from the norm. Even more unique was a nasyid performance by staff from the hotel Front Office Department. They are definitely talented!
The special guests indeed felt delighted that evening when they were served dinner, not only by waiters and waitresses but also by the management staff.
To make the event more memorable, goodie bags and “duit raya” from staff collection and topped up by the hotel, were distributed to the special guests, before calling it a night.
Impiana Hotel Ipoh General Manager Kamarudin Kassim hoped to organise similar dinners on a larger scale in conjunction with local festive seasons like Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas as well as Hari Raya, with the co-operation of corporate companies.
