RM15K a Night at the Royal Banjaran Villa, Ipoh

Can you imagine splurging RM625 per hour or RM10.40 per minute? I have read about billionaires earning this amount of money or more, with cash being generated even while asleep. However, I have always wondered, how much money do we actually need, and also if we have that much, where do we spend it or on what luxuries?

If RM15K is spare cash for you, the Royal Banjaran Villa also known as Royal Villa at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in Ipoh seems to be an ideal option. This villa offers the luxury, hospitality plus exclusivity that money can buy. The only consideration is that one could easily get used to such a lifestyle, i.e. living like royalty, and then one night can turn into two or more, so you do the math. At this time of publishing, RM15K is “only” USD3,254 or SGD4,325. Not that grand a sum to pay if you can arrive in a helicopter in style.

Over the course of my travels this past decade, excluding the pandemic-era, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time at really memorable accommodations. From a rickety bamboo shack without a proper door to a luxurious honeymoon suite that comes with a personal butler, experience is the key to being a travel writer.

Thus far, the Royal Villa at Banjaran is high on my list of accommodations with the “wow” factor, and I am not someone who is easily impressed. I can live here forever but can I afford so many times of RM15K per night? Haiyahhh… Nevertheless, this Royal Villa has definitely given me an idea of how I want my own house to be built, in future.
