Preview: Miss Malaysia Kebaya 2012

There was a preview of Miss Malaysia Kebaya 2012 at S.H.E. Expo 2012 yesterday afternoon. Seven lovely ladies took to the catwalk, first in exquisitely embroidered ‘kebaya’ dresses, then in elegant evening gowns, which had been sponsored by Bridal Collection as well as Only You Wedding Gallery. All ladies wore body-shaping foundation lingerie, sponsored by Minami. Hair-styling and make-up were sponsored by Chilli Salon & Academy.

The ‘kebaya’ is a traditional blouse-dress/sarong combination, that is not easy to carry off in style. Some of these girls looked like they are first-timers in pageant competition and hence, lacked confidence, but I take my hat off to them for having the guts to try! That’s a positive step forward, don’t you think so?
