PRKPP is a non-governmental organisation that empowers children through education, understanding that education is the key out of poverty, and to civil society. While education is the best investment one could make in the young, “education” has an extensive meaning, and is not solely academics.

Working closely with schools, parents and government departments, alongside other similar NGOs, PRKPP organises programmes for school children, especially primary kids, outside of school hours or during school holidays, with the objective of filling the children’s time with positive activities beyond the four walls of the classroom.

PRKPP was first established as Yayasan Pendidikan Kampar (Kampar District Education Foundation). Its chairperson, Dato’ Normah Hanum Binti Dato’ Ibrahim, is the wife of Datuk Mohammed Radzi Manan, former Member of the State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) Tualang Sekah, subsequently succeeded by their daughter, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi.

Yayasan Pendidikan Kampar expanded its reach to serve the entire state of Perak, not only within Kampar District, when Dato’ Normah’s son-in-law Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal bin Dato’ Haji Azumu, was appointed the Perak Menteri Besar in 2018.
