Asia’s first animation theme park, Movie Animation Park Studios or MAPS in short, is scheduled to open in July/August 2016, and I can’t be more excited. As an Ipohite, I believe that the city needs a tourism product of this magnitude to spur the economy.
Believe me, when it does open, many locals will surely benefit from it. For a start, MAPS will create approximately five hundred job opportunities within its six themed zones that will boast forty attractions.
The good news is that Perakeans have the benefit of being “locals” and will enjoy a steep discount on the Park’s specially-issued “Perak Pass”, but for a limited time only!
MAPS began selling these passes last weekend at the start of a massive nationwide roadshow. This weekend (30th & 31st Jan), the crew will be at AEON MALL Ipoh Klebang from 10am to 10pm where more Perak Passes will be made available.
So, how much is it, you ask? It is RM180 per adult and RM150 per child (3 to 11 years old). During this pre-opening special offer of Buy 3 Free 1, it works out to be RM135 per pass ONLY!
This pass allows the holder to enter the park for an unlimited number of times throughout the year. Tell me, is it not worth it?!
Other Passes sold during this roadshow are Day Pass and Annual Pass.
Day Pass is for ONE visit only and is priced at RM155 (adult) and RM125 (child). Pre-opening special offer for this pass is Buy 1 Free 1.
For Annual Pass valid for twelve months, it is priced at RM280 (adult) and RM250 (child). Pre-opening special offer for this pass is Buy 3 Free 1.
Remember, these pre-opening special offers are valid for a very limited time and only during this roadshow!
Also, mark your calendar for “My Dream Carnival” which will be held at the MAPS Entrance (Persiaran Meru Raya 3, Ipoh), during the weekend of 27th and 28th February, 2016 from 10am to 6pm.
A host of fun-filled activities have been lined up, including promotions, performances and a chance to win fantastic prizes! Admission is free, so bring along your family and friends!
I’ll be there, so should you!
