Although I am no golf player, I have visited quite a number of golf clubs in Malaysia. Palm Garden Golf Club ranks high in my list of beautiful clubs, although it is not your conventional golf club where only the wealthy have access to.
Palm Garden Golf Club is a public club where patrons pay as they use. As you can see, there is no exclusivity. Thus, it means that just about anyone can enjoy golf and the various club facilities available here.
This golf club is only about 20 minutes drive from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, with excellent accessibility via Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP) and South Klang Valley Expressway.
This first premier public course, with an 18-hole layout, is ranked Top 3 out of the more than two hundred golf clubs in Malaysia.
This club, which underwent extensive renovation in 2012 at the cost of RM50 million, is a favourite among expatriates simply because they do not have to commit to a membership.
As a non-golfer, one of the things that impressed me the most, besides the beautiful landscape, is the infinity pool overlooking the course. One can enjoy the view for hours on end without getting bored.
