One of Ipoh’s Best Kept Curry Noodle Secrets
Something new, something old. Having been eating at home for a good part of 2020, my family and I have dined out a few times this weekend, mainly to get ourselves ready for the new round of lockdown to be imposed this Wednesday.
Besides exploring “new” F&B outlets, we also made a stop at the familiar Restaurant One Two One Two, which is located in Ipoh Garden South. 1212 has got to be one of Ipoh’s best kept secrets for its curry noodles. This coffee shop offers an extensive Chinese menu (non-halal, of course), from its three main counters: roasted, noodles and kitchen.
Yesterday’s lunch was a combination of items from both the roasted and noodles stalls, as we had roasted duck rice, roasted chicken rice and soup-style curry noodles.
The curry noodle dish is a compulsory order every time we come here for a meal. The stall is also well known for its dry curry noodles, basically mee kicap topped with a serving of curry chicken with potatoes.
If you are in Ipoh looking for cheap eats without compromising on taste, 1212 should top your list.
