A Nostalgic Buka Puasa Experience in Ipoh by Azno Katering

Ramadan dinners are never just about food. They are about waiting together for the azan, sharing familiar dishes, and stretching conversations long after the plates are cleared. This year, that spirit returns to Ipoh through the Juadah Nostalgia Iftar, hosted by Azno Katering at Prestige Hall @ YICC in Bercham.

Running from 20th February until 19th March 2026, the buka puasa dinner is built around a simple idea – bring back the feeling of traditional Ramadan gatherings while still offering the comfort of a proper event venue.

Comfortable Dining

Azno Katering and Prestige Hall clearly understand that a good buka puasa experience is more than what is served on the table. The hall can accommodate up to five hundred guests, yet remains comfortable thanks to full air-conditioning and a practical layout.

Facilities make a noticeable difference throughout the occasion. There are numerous restrooms, accessible toilets for elderly and disabled guests, an indoor women’s prayer room, and a dedicated outdoor prayer space for men, all located within the same compound. Instead of people leaving immediately after eating a delicious meal, the evening naturally continues.

A Spread Inspired by Tradition

The Juadah Nostalgia menu consists of more than forty different items this year, combining heritage recipes with familiar modern favourites. The focus is firmly on authentic Malay cooking, the type most diners actually crave during Ramadan rather than novelty creations.

Regular diners will be happy to see returning signatures such as siput sedut in rich gravy, lala and assorted shellfish, along with grilled lamb, including the popular black pepper lamb. The food is hearty, flavourful and meant for proper savouring, not just sampling.

If you want something hot from the grill while waiting for maghrib, satay is available as an add-on at RM15 for ten skewers.

Suitable for Family, Friends and Corporate Gatherings

The venue’s atmosphere is slightly more exclusive than a typical bazaar setting while remaining relaxed. It works equally well for large family dinners, office Iftar events, and reunions with friends who only meet once a year during Ramadan.

Pricing remains affordable. Adults dine at RM55, senior citizens at RM45, and children aged seven to twelve years at RM35, while children aged six and below eat free. Group bookings receive complimentary seats – with one free seat for every ten booked, and two free seats for every twenty diners. Very large groups exceeding three hundred guests may receive additional discounts.
