The National Junior Track Cycling Championships Circuit 01/2012 was a tournament held over five days at Velodrome Rakyat in Ipoh.
Although I have no interest in the sport, I went to check it out simply because I have not shot a track cycling tournament before. I pitied the children who had to cycle under the hot sun, but I guess that is part and parcel of any outdoor sport.
While I was happily shooting the races, there was a crash that involved four or five cyclists. Although they were not seriously injured, the accident looked really horrifying. That too is a package deal in track cycling. Sigh!
Anyway, this is just a photo post, so check them out. Maybe you recognise some of these children?
