MBI Steps Up Community Awareness of MCO by Activating its CCTV Loud Speakers

To step up its efforts in controlling movement among residents in Ipoh in a bid to break the chain of community infection of COVID-19 virus during this global pandemic, the Ipoh City Council (MBI) has activated its CCTV loud speakers in 24 popular locations in the city.

The recording, played from the City Council’s Enforcement Office located in Ipoh Old Town, will be transmitted at least three times a day to all 24 locations concurrently, as a reminder for people to #StayHome at all times, unless absolutely necessary, to go out for essentials or to seek medical assistance.

This is an on-going exercise until 14th April, when the Movement Control Order (MCO) or Restricted Movement Order (RMO) is expected to be lifted.

So, let’s all do our national service to #StayAtHome and #DudukDiamDiam.

With love
