A Luxurious Stay at Setia Sky 88, Johor Bahru

As a travel content creator, I have stayed in my fair share of accommodation of varying standards, from the sparse bamboo hut of Sahom Valley Agro & Eco Resort to the 5-star The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort.

During my recent trip to Batam/Bintan, Indonesia, I had to transit Johor Bahru. My choice of accommodation was an Airbnb at Setia Sky 88, upon the recommendation of my local friends.

It was my first experience at an Airbnb, and staying two nights at Setia Sky 88 exceeded all my expectations. One of the highlights was its incredibly mesmerising night view, a unique selling point of the project.

You see, Setia Sky 88 is a luxurious residential condominium near Johor Bahru city, located in a most happening strip akin to Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Bintang. The street was still a hive of activity at 3 in the morning.

Plenty of entertainment, popular food and other conveniences are available, just a short walk away. Banafee Cafe, serving ayam penyet that received two thumbs up from the #1 food blogger in Johor and Singapore, Johor Kaki, is just next door.

The condominium, currently with three towers, is well equipped with facilities and amenities such as swimming pools, billiard room, games room, gymnasium, and even a karaoke room. All these are available to residents, yes, plus Airbnb guests.

Meanwhile, my air-conditioned unit is equipped like a home, with a television set, kitchen with microwave oven, kettle as well as refrigerator, washing machine and other basic household appliances. It is also connected with WiFi internet.

I stayed twice at Setia Sky 88, once on my way to Batam/Bintan and again on my return trip. As can be seen, my accommodation was spacious: two-bedroom and three-bedroom units.

After my very pleasant experience at Setia Sky 88, I have no qualms staying at an Airbnb during my next travel. If I swing by Johor Bahru, Setia Sky 88 would surely be my first choice.

Are you planning a trip to Johor Bahru? Drop me a note here, I have all the right connections for accommodation, food haunts and transport.

It’s thanks to these local friends that my two nights in JB were so memorable!
