Ling Sen Tong (Ipoh Cave Temple)
Page 1 Page 2
Ling Sen Tong is so colourful, it actually looks more like a theme park than a temple, though instead of life-size popular cartoon characters, we see Goddesses, Buddhas and other deities. And of course, what is a Chinese temple without dragons and phoenixes?
I overheard a tourist wondering aloud if this is a cave, and if it isn’t, why is the named so? There’s no denying that the facade of the temple could be quite deceptive as it has covered the mouths of the caves, making the caves look more like a man-made building. One has to venture deeper to see the real “cave”.
Ling Sen Tong offered many more photo shooting opportunities than Kek Look Tong and by the time we left at 5pm, the other cave temples along the road had already closed for the day, unfortunately. Looks like we’ll have to make another trip this way.
