Let’s Celebrate Life with Grasshopper this New Year’s Eve

Growing up to Grasshopper’s brand of Cantopop, it was with delight when I learnt that they will be in Malaysia to usher in the New Year (2018) with a concert to celebrate life and music. The concert will be hosted at Resorts World Genting’s Arena of Stars on 31 December, 2017 at 10pm.

In “Live Goes On Let’s Celebrate Grasshopper 2017”, the trio (Edmond Chi-Wai So along with brothers Calvin Yat-Chi Choy and Remus Yat-Kit Choy) from Hong Kong ensure that their music emanates positive vibes befitting the occasion of a New Year celebration, as their music has always brought across the message of liveliness and positivity, that life goes on no matter what.

Grasshopper was formed in 1985, when they auditioned in the Hong Kong New Talent Singing Awards. The late Anita Mui was one of the judges and following that encounter, became their mentor. Fame followed not long after and besides performing as a group, they also pursued solo careers in singing and acting.

Grasshopper, despite taking breaks from one another, is still very much a solid band. With members already in their early 50s, for how long will they continue singing? This appearance in Malaysia could be their last before they call it a day. Who can tell? As an avid fan, I surely plan to catch them in Genting on New Year’s Eve and so should you!

Concert tickets are priced at RM808 (VIP), RM598 (PS1), RM398 (PS2), RM288 (PS3), and RM128 (PS4); excluding RM4 processing fee. Genting Rewards Card (GRC) members enjoy a standard 10% discount via cash or credit card, and Genting Points redemption. This is applicable for all price scales.

Admission is one ticket per person. For further information, call +603 2718 1118 or visit www.rwgenting.com.
