It was like a meeting of the United Nations last Saturday at the Grand Ballroom of Syeun Hotel in Ipoh. In actual fact, it was the annual dinner of Lee Eye Centre (LEC), with the theme “International Night”.
Therefore, guests were dressed up in various foreign costumes, from Japanese to Korean, Thai, Indian, Chinese and Malay, among others. One was dressed as an Oktoberfest Girl, whom I mistook for Milkmaid.
In a contest à la Miss Universe, those in international-themed dresses vied for the Best Costume Award. Ten finalists walked home with prizes, with the top three winning home electrical appliances.
Invitees to the event comprised LEC’s business partners, affiliates, colleagues, employees and friends. Like all corporate annual dinners, it was LEC’s way of showing appreciation to the guests for their support, particularly in the past year.
Lee Eye Clinic was first established as a private practice in 1974 under the helm of Dato’ Dr. Y.C. Lee, then a young ophthalmologist. In 1999, the clinic expanded into a group practice and along with the change of name to Lee Eye Centre (LEC), came two consultant eye surgeons, to become the largest private group practice in Perak. Clinical services offered at LEC include Retinal Surgery and Laser Vision Correction.
Lee Eye Centre is located along Persiaran Greenhill, Ipoh. For further information, log on to its website HERE.
