When I uploaded mobile photos to Facebook upon checking in at my beach resort where we would spend three nights, friends commented that it looked very spacious! Yes, indeed, and it was supposed to be the ‘basic’ room only!
Four Points Langkawi Resort by Sheraton is located in Kuala Muda, Padang Matsirat, on the west of Langkawi Island just five minutes’ drive north from the Langkawi International Airport (LGK). It offers four room types, namely The Lanai (our room), Junior Suite, Premier Suite and the Four Points Suite.
All rooms come with LCD flat panel television with satellite channels, in-room electronic safe, hair dryer and floor-to-ceiling windows with different views. Internet connection is available at an additional fee in the room but is free at the lobby, restaurants and other public areas.
Although there was plenty of rain in Langkawi during our trip, it was still an awesome vacation, thanks to the more than 1km stretch of private beach (the shore of the Andaman Sea) and the infinity pool which spans 56 metres by 30 metres, touted to be Langkawi’s largest. It is 1.2 metres deep only, lucky me!
The fitness centre (gym), which also faces the Andaman Sea, is open 24/7 but none of my friends utilised its state-of-the-art equipment. All we wanted to do during our luxurious vacation was to indulge and not worry about our calorie intake! That can wait. In fact, I did not notice any guest working out during my stay. Haha!
I took plenty of photos – I have to say, I had a most enjoyable time, and I want to share the sights with you. Check out my photos over the next few pages, particularly the Four Points Suite. It may be the resort’s most expensive room, but it is still budget-friendly.
