Kinta Riverfront Hotel Women’s Day Mini Booth Fair

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, which is observed worldwide annually on March 8, Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suites organised a Women’s Day Mini Booth Fair, getting together their retail tenants as vendors, as well as other participants, to offer womenfolk an opportunity to pamper themselves under one roof.

The day-long mini fair had eight participants, all promoting items that enhance a woman’s health and overall well-being from head to toe, saw a steady stream of visitors throughout the day, including hotel guests.

As we all know, a woman holds various roles throughout her life; as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, provider, nurturer, educator and more. Therefore, it is only right that for all the months that she has placed herself at the bottom of her priority list, this one day is set aside for her own enjoyment and pampering.

The highlight of the fair was an informative talk by Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Khoo Yan Teng. Her topic was ‘The Concept of Attractive Eyes’, which tells about society’s norms on the kind of eyes that are said to be more attractive than others.

Dr. Khoo, who runs a clinic at Kinta Medical Centre in Ipoh, believes that everyone has the privilege of having attractive eyes, no matter how old he or she is. With her knowledge and skills in facial aesthetic surgery, she can identify a client’s problem(s) and provide the right treatment accordingly.

Later in the day, one of the participants at the fair, gym and fitness centre ‘Kenny Gym’, gave a special slimming dance demonstration.

Due to the success of this mini booth fair, Kinta Riverfront Hotel plans to organise a similar fair for next year’s International Women’s Day on a larger scale. I’m so looking forward to it!

  1. Good to know that they have events like this in Ipoh. Generally events are commonly hosted only in Klang Valley area.
