  1. check out Kao Kee Wanton mee (formerly from Woh Heng coffee shop) at Tet Shen Coffee shop, Jalan Raja Musa Aziz, diagoanlly opposite Aun kin Lim salted chicken. you won’t regret, it’s very good.

  2. try Krishnan Bahwan Vegetarian Restaurant on Jalan Lahat, Little India (opposite Azzar money changer). Very clever use of spices, excellent Indian vegetarian food with very good choices.

  3. Hi emily, good effort in compiling the list of eateries into a Must-Eat guide. Love what you have been doing in introducing Ipoh to a wider scale of audience as well.

  6. Hi Emily,

Whether Ipoh have the city tour bus ? Where to get it after railway station ?

What is the recommend hotel near Ipoh city ? walking distance to kopitiam white coffee, yong tao foo….etc.

My mother would like to have trip by train to ipoh and have a city tour trip as well.

    Thanks.

  7. Hi HT,

    1) No, there is no city tour bus.

    2) Hotel within walking distance to food shops in the city would be Le Metrotel, Ipoh… however, it is no where near the famous yong tau foo stall.

    3) Tour companies do offer city tours but they only cater to groups and not one pax.

  8. Hi there , please also check out the two following eat places in ipoh

    1) Canning Chee Cheong Fun at Central Kopitiam next to Ming court dim sum

    2) A small shop inside the Gunung Rapat market selling big pau , char siew pau and glutinous rice only. Open from 12noon to 4pm only . No signboard.
