FREE Distribution of 7000 Packets Nasi Briyani

A total of 7000 packets of Nasi Briyani (Briyani Rice) were distributed by the Perak Indian-Muslim Association (PRIM) for Muslims to break fast. This annual programme is held every Ramadan month and is a collaboration with the Perak Sports & Media Welfare Club (KSKMP), for six consecutive years since 2018.

The distribution was at the compound of Masjid Sultan Idris Shah II (Perak State Mosque). According to PRIM President Mohamad Arib Aliah, this year’s target was 5000 packets of rice, an increase from 4000 packs last year. However, due to overwhelming sponsorship, they were able to prepare 7000 for free distribution. The packets of rice were snapped up within two hours.

He added, “It is believed that the practice of giving free food for breaking fast during the holy month of Ramadan is rewarding. Therefore, we try to conduct this charity programme every year.”
