Exclusive Preview: Miss Malaysia Earth 2015
Members of the media were given an exclusive preview of the finalists of Miss Malaysia Earth 2015. The pageant, which will be held on August 9 in Ipoh will see 26 beauties vie for the Miss Malaysia Earth 2015 title.
The queen will then represent Malaysia in the world final to be hosted later this year in Vienna, Austria to compete against ninety other beauty queens from around the world.
For the seventh consecutive year, Star Avenue Production has been granted the exclusive rights to hold the event in Ipoh city and it is organised by Blue Planet International.
This annual Miss Earth pageant is said to be the third most glamorous in the world after Miss Universe and Miss World.
As a run-up to the final, a series of events has been planned in various destinations and also for photo sessions. The ladies will also be at Ipoh Parade for a talent display and to parade outfits made from recyclable materials to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle in line with the theme of the pageant.
At this exclusive preview, media and sponsors had the opportunity to vote for their favourite candidate to be presented with the subsidiary title of Miss Earth Media Gorgeous Award.
It went to finalist no. 17 Janice Tan Heng Li while the 1st runner-up was no. 8 Dior Lam Yin Ting. Finalist no. 21 Yoyo Bek Hwee Shuang came in third.
The night of the final will be an exciting one. Besides the search for Miss Malaysia Earth, her runners-up will be given titles named after other natural elements such as Miss Fire, Miss Water and Miss Air. Miss Earth is the only pageant with individual titles for runners-up.
Other subsidiary titles up for grabs include Miss Cosmopolitan, Miss Tropical Beauty, Miss Glamour Look and a host of other titles.
