With less than a month to the dawn of Ramadan, many of my friends are already making plans to break fast at different eateries and dining spots around town. One of the places that is never out of their radar over the years is definitely Ipoh’s leading city hotel, Syeun.

Headed by the Sous Chef partnership of Fareiz Aziz and Nizamhuri Musa, there are six mouth-watering menus served on daily rotation, each with more than 110 items. Aren’t the menus extensive? What more can diners ask for?

Highlights of the menus include main courses of Sambal Udang Petai, Ikan Baung Assam Tempoyak, Perut Masak Lemak and Kari Ikan Masin Nangka Muda. These are just some of the classic Malay dishes that are available, not forgetting the traditional Rendang Tok Perak.

Of course, there will be grilled lamb shoulder and ikan bakar, something not to be missed by BBQ fans, to complement other items from the all-time favourite Goreng-Goreng stall that serves Jemput-jemput and banana fritters, among others. Don’t forget to make a stop at the Laksa Sarang counter. Its tantalising aroma will surely entice you to it, anyway!

Buffet Ramadan Al Mubarak at Syeun Hotel is available daily from 18th May to 14th June, 2018, from 7pm to 10pm. Price is RM48 nett (adult) and RM30 nett (child / senior citizen). Purchase your buffet vouchers from now until 11th May to be entitled for an Early Bird discount at RM40 nett (adult) and RM21 nett (child / senior citizen).

  2. Actually i tried one of the prawn recipe in singapore and it was extremely delicious and i know some ramadan dishes i could still recollect when i was with my friends. SUPERB !

  3. Syuen Hotel, every year for sure I will go there for buka Puasa with my client and this year will be there as well. It seems like the food slightly different than last year. I saw marshmallow.. lolz
