Phase 3 of Movement Control Order (MCO) is supposed to end on 28th April, that’s tentatively the 5th day of the holy month of Ramadan. Will the MCO be extended to Phase 4? We do not know yet at this point.
One thing we do know is that COVID-19 has impelled us to adopt a new lifestyle, whether we like it or not, and there will be many more new normals to adapt to.
So, for this coming Ramadan, there will be NO Ramadan bazaar or buka puasa besar-besaran with loved ones at our favourite eateries, at least not for the first five days of the holy month.
Regardless of COVID-19 or MCO, our Muslim friends need to fast and berbuka puasa during this ninth month of the Muslim calendar. Previously, one of the common features during Ramadan was to plan where to break fast, if not enjoying at home with food bought from pasar Ramadan.
In any case, Iftar is similarly meaningful when it is observed at home with close family members and loved ones over a savoury meal.
Available from the first until the last day of the entire month of Ramadan, each set consists of the main course alongside complimentary Bubur Pulut Hitam or Kacang Hijau. Priced from RM24 per set, add on RM3 for a can of soft drink.
Halal-certified, these dishes are not only ideal for those who observe Ramadan but also other foodies who wish to indulge in a meal of mouth-watering briyani.
