Comedy Magic Show

Running up to Chinese New Year, Kinta City lined up a host of programmes for shoppers. One recent performance was a comedy magic show by God of Prosperity. “Choy Sun” is a compulsory figure during Chinese New Year.

I don’t deny that I have watched Au Young perform magic a number of times, not only as God of Prosperity (Choy Sun) but also as Santa Claus, and I take my hat off to him for his versatility and creativity.

Au Young comes up with different magic tricks for almost every show, and unlike other magicians, Au Young’s performances always have a touch of humour, delighting both adults and children.

What I like is that Au Young has good rapport with the audience, with the young and not-so-young clamouring up on stage every time audience participation is called upon.
