Boot Camp & Photo Shoot: WTC Model Search 2012 by Wilson Tan

The first in a series of programmes lined up for the inaugural WTC Model Search 2012 by Wilson Tan got underway in a boot camp at Fitness Embassy in Kinta City, Ipoh. A batch of contestants spent some seven hours in a model training session and photo shoot, under the expert guidance of Malaysia’s top male supermodel, Wilson Tan.

At the boot camp, Wilson shared with contestants catwalk techniques, poses including hand placements, posture and expressions, just to name a few.

These are the basics of being a model, who needs to know the right expression to project in each setting as required, for example, wild, sexy, high fashion, vogue, casual, cool, etc. While all the contestants were busy absorbing this new knowledge, it is essential to create one’s own style and look.

According to Wilson, who would be presented with The 2012 Outstanding Young Malaysian Award this Saturday, to be a catwalk model, one needs to have the height. Besides this, the most important asset would be positive attitude. A successful model has to be humble, self-disciplined, punctual, willing to accept advice and feedback and also be able to handle gossips, if any.

WTC Model Search 2012 is organised by World Trend Corporate Sdn. Bhd. (WTC). Wilson Tan, who has four years experience as a model, model search adviser, trainer and judge, is one of the confirmed celebrity judges.

Interested participants are encouraged to register themselves latest by 13th September, 2012 before 6pm.
