Authentic Nyonya Cuisine: Peranakan Place Restaurant
Of all the different cuisines that are readily available in Malaysia, I probably love Peranakan the most, after Cantonese. Ipoh’s Yum Yum and Assam House are my favourite food haunts simply for their amazing selection of Peranakan (Nyonya) dishes.
Therefore, it was with delight when I found out that we would have a Nyonya lunch on the way back to Kuala Lumpur from Resorts World Kijal in Terengganu. So, these photos were taken from the Temerloh (Pahang) branch of Restaurant Peranakan Place.
I don’t have much to describe about the food except to say that our hunger (due to the late hour) was quickly satisfied by these dishes. It was definitely a most fulfilling lunch not only because of the delicious spread, but also the amazing company, courtesy of Resorts World Genting.
The other three branches of Restaurant Peranakan Place are in Plaza Low Yat, One Utama and NU Sentral. Drooling already? Head over to one of the Restaurant Peranakan Place branches listed below, without delay.
