Since the relocation of D North Star to Ipoh Garden back in April, I had wanted to patronise it. Its opening was postponed twice and then I was told that they are pricey, “Don’t go.”
It’s still OK to try once, I told myself but each time I passed by, I didn’t see them open. Finally, I found out that Tuesdays are their rest days. Perhaps I passed by the eatery on Tuesdays. *Shrug*.
Between then and now, with travels and tight deadlines, my family and I finally managed to indulge in lunch earlier this week.
This non-Halal restaurant serves authentic Western-Hainanese fusion cuisine, apart from local food. Signature items are Hainan Chicken Chop, Hainan Chicken Rice, Hainan Chicken Curry, and Fish & Chips.
The good thing about this delay in my visit is that the menu has expanded, and the price point has come down. So, D North Star should definitely feature on any foodie’s list of must-visit Ipoh eatery.
Fast service, mouth-watering food, pocket-friendly, clean and air-conditioned; these are some of the plus points dining at D North Star.
Have a look at these lunch photos. Are you drooling already?
