Aunty Kelly Dog Shelter Fundraiser
Yesterday, The Malay Mail ran a story about Aunty Kelly, the local dog rescuer, who is calling on dog lovers to adopt the 130 dogs from her.
Forced to put her rescued dogs up for adoption because of lack of financial support following the Movement Control Order (MCO) since 18th March and the financial impact it has had on donors, Aunty Kelly has to make this difficult decision.
A dog lover, obviously, Aunty Kelly is a one-woman rescuer for two decades now. Her dogs are housed at her shelter in Tanjung Rambutan, Ipoh.
Moreover, at the age of 65, it is no longer viable to continue her pursuit, without a backup plan or support group. Therefore, reluctant as she is, this seems to be the best path for all.
The Lions Club of Ipoh MALI is currently assisting in matching the furkids with their furever family, but it is a long process.
