Art Tunes 2011 – Julbert G. Marañon Solo Painting Exhibition
Page 1 Page 2
I had wanted to drop by for just a short while at Julbert G Marañon’s solo painting exhibition that’s happening right now at Garden Villa but I was fortunate to get to speak to the painter himself.
Julbert, although Filipino, is actively involved in the arts scene in Ipoh, having lived here for two years. He is a trained musician but recently saw painting taking priority in life. With an artistic family background, Julbert has been painting since childhood. He is self-taught, but went under the mentorship of Filipino painter, Celso Duazo Pepito, in 1999.

On behalf of Cebu Artists Incorporated, I wish to congratulate Julbert for a job well done. He is not only giving honor to our group but also has given pride to the Filipino people.
May his art contribute to the promotion of the cultural heritage of the Malaysian people thereby creating a link our very own culture as Filipinos.
Thank you, too to Ms. Emily for providing Julbert the needed exposure in: From Emily To You!
Mabuhay!
Cheers,
Celso Duazo Pepito

Good morning, Celso!
I look forward to your visit. It would be a privilege meeting you!
Hi Emily,
I am so proud of Julbert, he used to be our singing group director and it is so amazing to know he has gone far in another form of art aside from music. I am glad I have found this blog that showcase his works, I like his paintings. God bless.
