ARA Kick Starts ‘Golden Prosperity’ Campaign “Anyone Can Win!” this Chinese New Year
The stage is set for Ipoh Parade to herald in the return of ARA Asset Management Limited’s (ARA) biggest Chinese New Year campaign in Malaysia. In celebration of the Lunar New Year, ARA’s malls — Ipoh Parade, Klang Parade, 1 Mont Kiara and CITTA Mall — have once again taken to spread good fortune through its second year of ‘Golden Prosperity’ campaign. As its “Anyone Can Win!” tagline suggests, over RM100,000 worth of prizes and redemption premiums are up for grabs, while the grand prize winners will also walk away with gold bars.
The campaign will be carried out in 3 stages, beginning with the first that commenced on 30 December 2019 and lasting until 26 January 2020. Five top spenders are selected weekly at each mall for four weeks, culminating in a total of 80 top spenders returning to the malls to compete in a series of challenges. This second stage will take place on Saturday, 1 February, for CITTA Mall and 1 Mont Kiara shoppers, while Ipoh Parade and Klang Parade shoppers will compete on Sunday, 2 February. Each mall will have its own unique “Mall Challenge” that must be completed, and all participating shoppers will be able to go home with sponsored prizes.
At the conclusion of the second stage, 3 finalists from each mall will move on to the third and final stage at Klang Parade on 9 February, and all 12 finalists will compete against one another to claim the gold bars and other attractive prizes.
“It’s all about executing the right strategy. The final challenge is devised as a game show with elimination rounds, so we want to see what these finalists are capable of doing in order to win the grand prize. Above all, we want our shoppers to enjoy themselves and have fun amidst the festivities,” said Sherlyn Too, Senior Manager for Leasing at Ipoh Parade.
Among attractive prizes to be won include a HP Notebook; hotel stays at WEIL Hotel (Ipoh); entrance passes for Sunway Lost World of Tambun; Space Joe Playland annual pass; mobile phones from Huawei, U Mobile and Mobihome; products from Stanzo Collection, Majuhome Concept Store, Cosas United, Apros Eyecare and GNC Live Well; vouchers from Nando’s, Ying Ker Lou, Universal Noodle, Texas Chicken, Union Roastery, Union Artisan Coffee, The Barn, Pat Kin Pat Sun Cafe, Kodawari Menya, Onde-Onde, Jaya Grocer, Village Grocer, Parkson, Econsave, Caring Pharmacy, Uni Optics 88, YFS Concept Store, Hush Puppies, Sorella, [i]Store, Mr. D.I.Y., Ogawa, Artius Ara Damansara Dental Clinic, and Pressto (Laundry). All of whom are tenants at the malls.

“The Golden Prosperity campaign is one way to reward our loyal shoppers during this festive celebration, and we are pleased to announce its return this year with more sponsors. Their generous contributions have allowed this campaign to thrive and prosper. I am confident that our shoppers will be thrilled to win these rewards,” said June Lim, ARA’s Country Head for Malaysia.
Complementing the upcoming celebration is Ipoh Parade’s magnificent and splendid decorations. Adorned with gold coins, red lanterns, and peonies in various shapes and sizes, Ipoh Parade is transformed into a regal space that flourishes in bright red and dazzling gold. At the mall’s main atrium, shoppers are greeted by the scenic sight of a traditional Chinese pavilion surrounded by gilded trees and crimson lanterns, uplifting the festive mood as shoppers hunt for seasonal supplies.
The celebrations at the mall include a Lion Dance Performance by the Kun Seng Keng World Champion Lion Dance Troupe, the appearance of God of Prosperity, Northern Lion Dance Performance, Festive Drum Performance, CNY Cookie Baking Workshop as well as an Angpao Origami Workshop for children. Celebrity-siblings Nick and Stella Chung also performed and conducted a meet-and-greet at Ipoh Parade on January 4.
“We’ve also got a redemption campaign running from now until January 25, where shoppers are able to redeem a limited-edition CNY Blossom Bowl,” Too continued. “The redemption campaigns at the mall have historically been incredibly successful, so we would urge anyone who would like to get their hands on them to participate early as they run out quick!”
