Announcement: Wesak Day Celebration Organised by UTBF Malaysia Dharma Center
Wesak Day (or Vesak) is observed on May 13 this year in Malaysia. Also known as Lord Buddha’s birthday, it is a day to remember and rejoice in the auspicious Birth of Lord Buddha Sakyamuni, His Enlightenment and His Passing into Mahaparinirvana.
In joyful celebration of this propitious day, UTBF Malaysia Dharma Center is conducting Lord Buddha Sakyamuni and Sixteen Arhats Puja and symbolic Bathing of Little Lord Buddha and also wisdom lamp lighting at the centre’s premises. It will be led by Resident Lama Zopa.
The programme* for the day is as follows:
Date: 13th May, 2014
9.30am – Releasing lives 放生仪式
10am – Lord Buddha Sakyamuni and Sixteen Arhats Puja with Supplication Prayers 释迦牟尼与十六罗汉祈请文
12.30pm – Vegetarian lunch is served 素午餐
