Announcement: Tapestry – The Living Room Sessions
The 13-member strong Kuala Lumpur-based vocal group known as Tapestry has embarked on a new series of music showcase since August until October. Fans in Petaling Jaya were earlier treated to two showcases which were sold out. Fans in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang are in for a similar treat.
Following the success of the group’s three previous music productions, Christmas Tapestry (2012), Stereo & Popcorn (2013) and Human After All (2014), this year’s “The Living Room Sessions” features a more intimate setting, compared to the earlier shows.
With this great pool of talent coming together, most of the tracks, mainly popular English hits, have been rearranged. Be prepared to be entertained a capella-style with upbeat contemporary pop songs, ballads, comedy and more!
The cosy atmosphere of the selected venues allows the audience to offer feedback to the group on what they enjoy listening to, and particularly, how the set could be improved. I expect a fair bit of interaction there.
While in Penang, Tapestry will conduct free music workshops that are open to the public. The three 1-hour long workshops are on the basics of lead singing, harmony singing and beatboxing.
Seats are limited, so, grab your tickets now before they are sold out. At RM35 per ticket, act fast or lose out!
