Announcement: Sharpened Word Short Film Fest (Aug 20)
The 11th edition of Sharpened Word will come with a twist. It is not merely about words – it is also an expression of creativity but in the form of short films.
Visual story teller, Hassan Muthalib (a.k.a. Pak Hassan) will be on hand to teach us how to watch and enjoy a movie, to understand the undertone and metaphor in a movie.
This self-taught maestro in the local film industry is also the creator of Malaysia’s first animated feature film. Due to his prominence, he is in high demand to give lectures and discourses globally.
After this session with Pak Hassan, you will watch movies differently.
At the Short Film Fest, he will also conduct an on-the-spot movie review and critique so that the audience can practise what they learn precisely from him.
Therefore, the organisers are looking for submissions of short films to be reviewed during this Film Fest. Only five slots are available, so don’t miss this chance to have your short film being critiqued and from there, gain valuable advice on how to improve your story telling skills.
